We’ll publish opening times for the lido here when we know them.  Call back in the spring.

What are the entry prices?

A full list of prices can be found here

Can I buy food & drink at the Lido?

There is a cafe serving sandwiches, cakes, fruit, toast, chips, hot dogs etc and tea coffee, hot chocolate and ice creams. The opening times depend on the weather, its best to ring first to check the cafe is open if you are unsure.
There are also vending machines.

Can I bring my own food & drink?

Yes you can and there are picnic tables for you as well. Of course you can’t bring alcohol into the Lido.

What’s the water temperature?

It reflects the outdoor temperature, so if its cold outside its cold in the lido and if its a hot sunny day you get warm water.
The temperature varies between 14C and 24C.

What are the changing facilities like?

There are changing rooms and showers attached to the indoor pool. Changing rooms are limited.

Can we play ball games?

Beach Balls (inflatable) can be used in the paddling pool.

Can we use inflatables?

Yes – though they must be less than 1 sq meter. If you bring a dinghy, you aren’t allowed paddles.

Should I  wear a wetsuit?

Sometimes the pool temperature drops to 14 degrees. Some hardy swimmers who are used to cold water swimming can swim without wetsuits, but lots of us would rather be a bit warmer, so we wear triathlon suits or surfing wetsuits.

What else is there for kids to do?

Putting, Tennis and bowls are available in the leisure centre grounds.

Can children come on their own?

Yes if they are 8 years or older.

Is there access for people with disabilities?

Yes there is ramped access to the grounds and the pool and disabled changing is available too.
